Natural Medicine
Our natural medicine team consists of one Homeopathic Doctor, three Naturopathic Doctors, one Nutritionist, and one Full Time Laboratory Technician: Bryce Wylde HD, Tanya Wylde ND, Jason Granzotto ND, Michael Carozza ND, Jamie Langlois RNCP, and Antonella Teti.
The primary goal of the natural medicine team is to address the underlying cause of illness, rather than simply treating or suppressing symptoms. The patient is seen as a whole person and the practitioner takes the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual dimensions into account when making a homeopathic, naturopathic or nutritional diagnosis and then developing a comprehensive treatment plan.
The Natural Medicine department at the Vaughan Medical Centre offers: clinical nutrition and weight loss strategies, homeopathic medicine, herbal medicine, intravenous treatments, acupuncture, physical therapies, lactation consultation (help with breastfeeding), infertility and counseling and a full range of onsite and send-out laboratory screening including live blood cell analysis.

I.V. Therapies
The delivery of nutrients via the intravenous method is an excellent way to provide the body with therapeutic and nutritional agents. When we ingest nutritive supplements in the form of tinctures, pills or capsules, sometimes - and in certain cases - you can not achieve therapeutic or physiologic doses. When specially prepared nutrients are injected intravenously, they bypass the liver and digestive organs and are available directly through the circulation to the tissues and cells of the body. In chronic and depleted conditions, and where the digestive functions are often compromised, and when there is a cancer diagnosis, large doses of nutrients call be delivered comfortably and safely as part of an integrated naturopathic treatment program. In acute infections, smaller I.V. doses can be used to enhance immune function.
I.V. therapies at the VMC are given by Jason Granzotto, ND using accepted protocols to ensure safety and effectiveness. Treatments your doctor may recommend range from a simple I.V. push (IVP) to a larger dose of vitamins and minerals. The IVP can contain vitamins, minerals and homeopathic medicines which are injected over a 10 to 15 minute period of time. Larger doses of nutrients are given through I.V. drip, which may require one to two ours of relaxing in a pleasant and comfortable environment. Outside of the gentle, initial prick, these treatments are painless and patients enjoy a restful experience as well being improves.
Live Blood Cell Analysis
Live blood cell microscopy (LBCM), live cell analysis, or nutritional blood analysis is the use of high-resolution dark field microscopy to observe live blood cells live. It is used as a tool to help diagnose a range of conditions along with other laboratory analysis.
