What to expect & How to Prepare

During the first appointment with Jamie Langlois, a complete health history will be taken. Jamie will discuss your health concerns and nutritional goals. She will educate you towards a healthy eating regime and provide a dietary plan individualized to your particular health goals.

A complete evaluation of your body composition will be assessed. This will be done with the Bio Impedance Analysis. This will determine your lean body mass to fat mass ratio. For the most accurate test possible please be aware of the following:

  1. Avoid using creams or lotions on your skin the day of the test
  2. Do not drink alcohol 24 hours before the test
  3. Make sure you are well hydrated
  4. Avoid eating for 4 hours before test (if you need to eat, eat lighter foods)
  5. Do not exercise 12 hours prior to testing
  6. Do not wear pantyhose. Access to your left hand and feet are necessary
  7. Do not drink caffeine the day of your test

The number of follow up visits depends on your particular health concerns and will be discussed during the first appointment.  A commitment of at least two visits is mandatory.

Please bring to your first appointment a diet diary of at least 3 days. Please list all food and beverages consumed throughout the day and approximate times of consumption. If you notice any symptoms before or after meals please list them, such as bloating, gas, and energy levels throughout the day, etc.

It is Jamie’s passion in life to teach people how the dietary choices they make everyday are directly linked to their health. Our bodies cells are essentially made up of the raw materials from the food we consume and every minute, 200 million cells are renewed and revitalized in your body. That is a total of 300 billion cells per day. It is within your own power to determine the composition of those renewed cells!
